The award was presented to Brett Gilham, the company’s Strategic Operations Manager at a recent awards ceremony and is the result of over two years’ work by the company to transition to the new version of the standard. Gerald Simonds Healthcare has continuously held accreditation to ISO 9001 and its predecessor Standards for over 20 years.
“The new Standard provides a clear framework for organisations to ensure their management system is robust and flexible enough to help them be resilient and sustainable in the long term. The very nature of our business in the mobility industry means that we are a very customer focussed organisation and ensuring that we maintain our accreditation to the international standard provides us the quality assurance to ensure that we are delivering the highest standard of products and services. As part of the process, the company undergoes two external audits conducted by BSI every year. These look at the internal processes and procedures of the business to ensure they continually comply with the Standard. “This feedback is extremely valuable to us as it highlights areas or departments where we may be able to further improve our performance” continued Brett.
