The Vicair® Liberty Back System makes any wheelchair more comfortable, stable and supportive. It consists of a strap back and separate cushion which uses air filled SmartCells™ which, with the addition of a small quantity of silicon gel, move easily against each other and conform precisely to the body's contours. As a replacement for the wheelchair's standard sling back, the Liberty backrest can be adjusted to follow the contours of the spinal column. The cushion is easy to remove, allowing the wheelchair to be folded for transport. Combined with a Vicair® Liberty or Vicair® Academy seat cushion, the Liberty Back System forms an effective supporting and positioning unit, combined with superior pressure distribution.
